About Victoria

Book editor. Author. Speaker.

My story

I have always loved books, but my own story didn’t go quite as expected. While earning my English degree and playing D1 softball, I sustained a brain injury during my senior year.

With my plans for graduate school upended, I needed a new path. Freelance editing began as a way to connect with stories while recovering. I immediately fell in love with the process of helping authors develop their stories, and I haven’t looked back.

In my neck of the woods

When I don’t have my nose in a book, you’ll find me backpacking in the Great Smoky Mountains or in a state park with my husky.

I’m an author of Appalachian magical realism, represented by Sandy Lu of Book Wyrm Literary Agency.

I’m also a traditional leathercrafter and am passionate about creating things that last, whether that’s tooled leather pieces or timeless stories.
